What you'll do
At CAF Signalling, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of about 10 people for the development of a common electronic platform for the entire CAF Group.
Mainly, you will be responsible for the validation of FPGA designs used in safety-critical railway products (SIL2 / SIL4):
- Analyze FPGA design requirements alongside the design team
- Draft test protocols, create simulation environments and testbenches based on behavioural VHDL, and execute FPGA design simulation tests
- Drive the continuous improvement of validation processes, maximizing automation, efficiency, and test repeatability.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and results, as well as managing change control
- Analyze results and prepare reports
- Identify and report bugs, analyze their causes, and collaborate with the design team on their resolution
- Involvement in audits and technical certification processes.
Alternatively, in another CAF Signalling workgroup, you will participate in the design and implementation of FPGAs used in safety-critical railway products (SIL2 / SIL4):
- Analyze system requirements and define FPGA architectures.
- Design and develop RTL modules in VHDL.
- Analyze and resolve bugs detected during simulation, integration, and testing
- Prepare technical documentation related to design and implementation.
