JOB DESCRIPTION
CIC energiGUNE is looking to incorporate a senior researcher to support the strategic direction of the future project portfolio and the technology roadmap of CIC energiGUNE in the field of low-temperature water electrolyzers.
The selected person will contribute to the design, development, and scale-up of the manufacturing of electrolyzer components for current and future technologies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- EngD or PhD in Chemistry, electrochemistry, or a related field.
- 3+ years of postdoctoral experience, or strong hands-on industrial experience in the development, testing, and validation of low-temperature electrolyzers is required.
- Extensive knowledge of low-temperature electrolyzer components such as bipolar plates, porous transport layers, gas diffusion layers, flow fields, and other components is required.
- Deep expertise in the role of individual components, materials, materials processing, and process selection, as well as their impact on overall performance, durability, cost, and manufacturability.
- Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both a self-directed and team environment with multiple projects, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
