The selected candidate will join the center's maintenance team and will work, under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, incident diagnosis, minor adjustments, monitoring of technical interventions, and support in coordinating suppliers and subcontractors.

We are looking for a solid, practical, and resourceful technical profile, with proven experience in facility maintenance and, preferably, with a specialization within the maintenance field, such as refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, electromechanical, thermal installations, or similar.

 Main responsibilities

  • Participate in repairs, adjustments, installations, adaptations, and commissioning of technical spaces and laboratories.
  • Collaborate in the operational coordination of suppliers, trades, and subcontractors during interventions at the center.
  • Support the preparation of spaces, movement of equipment, minor renovations, and adaptations required for scientific and technical activity.
  • Monitor interventions, verify the correct execution of work, and report any deviations, risks, or additional needs.
  • Apply internal safety procedures, occupational risk prevention, and good maintenance practices.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced Vocational Training (Higher Degree) in maintenance, refrigeration and HVAC installations, electrical, electromechanical, thermal installations, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a similar technical specialty. Applications with an Intermediate Vocational Training degree and very solid maintenance experience will also be considered.
  • At least 4-5 years of previous experience in maintenance of buildings, industrial facilities, technical centers, laboratories, hospitals, pilot plants, or environments with technical installations.
  • Specialization or proven practical experience in any of the following areas: refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, electromechanical, thermal installations, plumbing, industrial maintenance, or similar.
  • Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, with the ability to diagnose faults and propose technical solutions.
  • Ability to carry out repairs, adjustments, overhauls, installations, and support in technical interventions of a certain complexity.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, trades, or subcontractors during maintenance work.
  • Ability to work in a team, coordinate with other technical profiles, and act autonomously within their scope of duties.
  • A proactive, organized, and service-oriented attitude.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in research centers, laboratories, hospitals, industrial facilities, or buildings with complex technical activity.
  • Specific experience as a refrigeration technician or in the maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or thermal installation systems.
  • Professional license or qualifying certification related to thermal installations, fluorinated gases, low voltage, occupational risk prevention, work at height, mobile elevating work platforms, confined spaces, fire protection systems, ATEX, or technical gases.
  • Basic knowledge of automation, control systems, fire detection, or auxiliary laboratory installations.
  • Experience using maintenance management tools, work orders, or digital incident logs.
