What we're looking for
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Testing, Audit, Risk, or Operational Excellence roles.
- Proven experience designing or enhancing quality control frameworks.
- Strong hands-on testing and review experience.
- Experience creating testing scripts, control documentation, and reporting packs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently and influence senior leadership.
Nice to have
- Experience within Financial Services, Operations, Compliance, Claims, KYC/AML, or regulated environments.
- Experience with quality metrics, governance frameworks, and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance background.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control & Testing Lead to own and enhance our quality control framework while remaining hands-on in the execution of testing activities. This role is ideal for someone who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery, improving testing methodologies, reporting, governance, and quality standards while actively performing and overseeing QC reviews.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining a scalable quality control framework, developing testing scripts and procedures, executing reviews, reporting findings, and driving continuous improvement across operational processes.
What you'll do
Quality Control Framework & Governance
- Review, redesign, and continuously improve the existing QC framework.
- Develop and maintain testing methodologies, review procedures, and control standards.
- Establish QC governance, KPIs, reporting metrics, and escalation processes.
- Ensure quality controls remain aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
- Perform hands-on QC testing and file reviews across operational processes.
- Execute risk-based testing programmes and ad-hoc reviews.
- Create, maintain, and enhance QC test scripts and testing documentation.
- Validate adherence to policies, procedures, and internal standards.
- Identify control gaps, root causes, and remediation opportunities.
- Produce regular reporting on QC results, trends, root causes, and risk themes.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify implementation effectiveness.
- Develop management information and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Analyse testing outcomes to identify recurring issues and process inefficiencies.
- Recommend and implement control enhancements.
- Support process redesign initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Leverage automation and technology opportunities where appropriate.
- Partner with operational leaders and subject matter experts to improve quality outcomes.
- Provide guidance on control design and best practices.
- Support training and coaching activities to strengthen quality awareness across teams.
