Our goal is to provide an on-demand delivery infrastructure for every city in the world, and trusted financial reporting is what keeps that engine scalable. As Senior Controller, you will be a key individual contributor in the Reporting & Controlling team, within Accounting & Reporting. You will help ensure the timeliness and quality of Glovo's financial reporting to Delivery Hero, and support the strengthening of the control environment around the financial close.
Support the global month-end close and the monthly reporting to Delivery Hero (TB, KPIs and FTEs), helping meet deadlines and quality standards through ruthless prioritisation on materiality, processes and disclosures.
Review the IFRS financial statements of Glovo subsidiaries and group-level consolidation, investigating and correcting inconsistencies before they reach stakeholders.
Support the design and implementation of controls over the financial close using a risk and control matrix approach, working towards realistic milestones and phased rollouts.
Collaborate with corporate and local accounting teams on month-end close and control gaps. Work through root-cause analysis together, map process gaps, support the design of improved processes and help implement them, rather than pointing out errors and handing them back.
Contribute to RACI design and to embedding the redesigned processes, helping ensure controls are in place to verify they operate as intended.
Support projects on presentation and disclosure, IFRS treatment of reporting standards, and the ongoing refinement of our reporting tool (OneStream), as well as HQ-led cross-accounting initiatives such as IFRS, ERP and reporting package implementations.
Act as a day-to-day point of contact for accounting and finance colleagues, including local finance teams, the Finance Performance team and Delivery Hero, on financial reporting matters.
