Estimations Engineer - EPC Projects

We are looking for an ESTIMATIONS ENGINEER to join our offices in Madrid and collaborate with the Estimations Department. You will participate in the preparation and analysis of economic proposals for industrial sector projects, ensuring their technical and economic feasibility, as well as their competitiveness and alignment with client requirements.

Scope and work environment

You will support the estimation and analysis of industrial projects of varying complexity: EPC tenders, engineering services, CAPEX studies for external clients, and economic valuation of changes to projects under execution.

Functions

• Preparation of estimates: Prepare costs, baseline budgets and scenarios, collecting and analyzing technical information with the areas involved.

• Support for bids: Prepare technical-economic proposals and estimation plans for new opportunities.

• Cost analysis: Review line items and scopes, verifying consistency and correct economic valuation.

• Detailed budgets: Maintain the breakdown of direct and indirect costs with proper structuring.

• Risks and contingencies: Identify technical and economic risks and define measures/contingencies.

• Preparation and review: Consolidate economic documentation and provide supporting materials for internal validation.

EPC Projects

• Experience: 3 to 5 years in estimating large EPC projects. (Experience as a Bid Manager will be valued).

• Technical background: Solid knowledge to deal with different disciplines.

• Languages: Fluent English (daily use). Other languages are valued.

• Tools: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Programming skills (Macros/VBA, Python) are desirable.

Participarás en la elaboración y análisis de propuestas económicas para proyectos del sector industrial, garantizando su viabilidad técnica y económica, así como su competitividad y alineación con los requisitos del cliente.

Alcance y entorno de trabajo

Apoyarás la estimación y análisis de proyectos industriales de diversa complejidad: licitaciones EPC, servicios de ingeniería, estudios CAPEX para clientes externos y valoración económica de modificaciones en proyectos en ejecución.

Funciones

• Elaboración de estimaciones: Preparar costes, presupuestos base y escenarios, recopilando y analizando información técnica con las áreas implicadas.

• Soporte a ofertas: Preparar propuestas técnico-económicas y planes de estimación para nuevas oportunidades.

• Análisis de costes: Revisar partidas y alcances, verificando consistencia y correcta valoración económica.

• Presupuestos detallados: Mantener el desglose de costes directos e indirectos con adecuada estructuración.

• Riesgos y contingencias: Identificar riesgos técnicos y económicos y definir medidas/contingencias.

• Preparación y revisión: Consolidar la documentación económica y aportar soportes para validación interna.

• Background técnico: Conocimientos sólidos para tratar con distintas disciplinas.

• Idiomas: Inglés fluido (uso diario). Se valoran otros idiomas.

• Herramientas: Manejo experto de Microsoft Excel. Deseable programación (Macros/VBA, Python).
