The role

From Mico by Empatif we are looking for an Accounting-Tax Department Manager to join on a permanent basis the department of an important consulting firm with a long track record in A Coruña.

What you'll do

Overall management and supervision of the accounting department, ensuring the correct execution of work and compliance with established deadlines.

Coordination, organization, and monitoring of the accounting team, distributing tasks and supervising their performance.

Supervision of client portfolio accounting, ensuring the quality and accuracy of accounting records.

Review and supervision of monthly and annual accounting closings, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.

Supervision and control of clients' tax obligations, coordinating with the tax department when applicable.

Resolving accounting queries and doubts from both the team and clients.

Reviewing the correct application of current accounting regulations and updating them in response to regulatory changes.

Analysis of accounting incidents and establishment of criteria and procedures for their resolution.

Providing accounting advice to clients and attending meetings when required.

Preparation and monitoring of management and economic-financial analysis reports.

Managing workload, planning resources, and meeting departmental objectives and deadlines.

Implementation and improvement of internal procedures, seeking to increase the efficiency and quality of service.

Collaboration with management in decision-making, departmental organization, and process improvement.
