We are looking for a temporary Programming and Guarantees Technician on a training contract for our office in Madrid (Pº de los Olmos), who wants to be part of a project with real impact. What you'll do

What will your role be as a Programming and Guarantees Technician? 🎯

Carry out gas system programming activities, analysis of international market behavior, operational feasibility analysis and management of market guarantees and platforms, contributing to the proper functioning of the system and ensuring operational and economic coherence in accordance with current regulations and the guidelines of the System Operator.

Use operational and market data volumes to identify patterns, trends and optimization opportunities, through the use of advanced data analysis techniques, modeling and analytical tools.

  • Development of gas system programming tasks across its different dimensions (supply/procurement and demand), and across different time horizons (short and medium term) in order to assess the use of facilities and the level of system autonomy.

  • Comprehensive management of slot logistics (ships) in coordination with operators and users of regasification plants

  • Analyze the operational feasibility of the system, identifying constraints and proposing operational alternatives.

  • Carry out programming monitoring and make the necessary adjustments based on system evolution.

  • Collaborate in monitoring the processes of nomination, re-nomination and system balancing.

  • Draft regulatory proposals to maximize and optimize the use of facility capacity.

  • Address operational incidents and queries related to programming processes

  • Analyze the evolution of domestic and international gas markets, identifying relevant trends or impacts on system operation, with a special focus on LNG.

  • Prepare technical reports and analyses to support operational decision-making.

  • Collaborate in conducting studies on demand, capacities and system behavior.

  • Apply artificial intelligence and advanced analytics techniques to leverage available information, aimed at identifying patterns, generating insights and supporting decision-making.

  • Manage the operational purchase of gas on Mibgas

  • Operationally manage market platforms (contracting, nominations, etc.), ensuring the correct execution of processes.

  • Verify the consistency of information exchanged with agents and platforms.

  • Address operational incidents and queries related to market processes.

  • Prepare and review operational information in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and tools within the programming and guarantees area.

Education & certifications

  • Higher education degree, preferably a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering (Industrial, Chemical, New Energies, etc.), or a degree in science and technology fields.

  • Advanced level of English (TOEIC 850+).
