What we're looking for

We are looking for people with a background in Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or Data Governance, with solid experience in complex data environments and mastery of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB, along with deep knowledge of SQL, dimensional modeling, normalization, indexing, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

We would like you to be able to contribute experience in Cassandra, Redis, or graph databases, as well as knowledge of modern data architectures, especially in Lakehouse models (Iceberg, with Delta and Hudi being valued), pipelines, and analytical ecosystems, and, additionally, in semantic layers and data governance.

People like you: rigorous and structured people, with the ability to translate business needs and analytical requirements into robust data structures, and with a good level of communication to collaborate fluidly in a specialized team where sharing and learning are part of the day-to-day.

Would you like to have a key role in building the future data platform of a large organization like the Eroski Group?

At Eroski, we are immersed in an ambitious process of evolving our data architecture and are looking to bring in a Database Architect to help us ensure data quality, consistency, and performance, laying the foundations for the group's Lakehouse model.

What will your mission be?

What you'll do

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytical and operational use cases.

• Define and evolve modeling standards (relational, dimensional, Data Vault, NoSQL), nomenclature, and best practices.

• Optimize the structure, performance, and efficiency of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Establish rules for indexing, partitioning, versioning, and storage strategies.

• Ensure data governance, quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.

• Evaluate technologies, approaches, and patterns to evolve legacy models toward modern Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg), as well as other functions inherent to the role.
