• Perform organic synthesis reactions on a laboratory scale.
• Purification of the various compounds using different techniques.
• Analysis, identification, and coding.
• Accurate documentation of the experiments carried out in the laboratory in the electronic notebook.
• Use of scientific instrumentation: Flash Chromatography (MPLC), Rotavapor, High Vacuum, H-Cube, Microwave, Flow-Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Automated Synthesizers, etc.
• Use of liquid chromatography equipment (HPLC), thin layer chromatography assays...
• Cleaning and maintenance of the equipment, as well as the laboratory workspace.
• Fluid communication with the team and the laboratory manager.

The main mission of the Research Associate will be to cooperate in a research project, integrated into a team of 5 chemists, synthesizing collections of novel organic molecules, in the purity, quantity, and structural determination required by our clients.

To perform these functions, previous experience in an organic chemistry laboratory is required, as well as proficiency in:

• Basic laboratory operations.
• Organic nomenclature.
• Basic organic formulation.
• Recognition of functional groups.
• Specific laboratory materials.

• Realizar reacciones de síntesis orgánica a escala de laboratorio.
• Purificación de los compuestos mediante diversas técnicas.
• Análisis, identidad y codificación.
• Redacción precisa de los experimentos realizados en el laboratorio en libreta electrónica.
• Manejo del instrumental científico: Cromatografía Flash (MPLC), Rotavapor, Ultravioleta, Alto Vacío, H-Cube, Microondas, Flow-Chemistry, Electroquímica, Sintetizadores automáticos, etc.
• Uso equipos de cromatografía líquida (HPLC), ensayos de capa fina...
• Limpieza y mantenimiento de los equipos, así como del espacio de trabajo en el laboratorio.
• Comunicación fluida con el equipo y responsable de laboratorio.

La principal misión del Research Associate será la de cooperar en un proyecto de investigación, integrado/a en un equipo de 5 químicos, sintetizando colecciones de moléculas orgánicas noveles, en la pureza, cantidad y determinación estructural requeridas por nuestros clientes.

Para desempeñar estas funciones, se requiere experiencia previa en un laboratorio de química orgánica, así como dominio en:

• Operaciones básicas de laboratorio.
• Nomenclatura orgánica.
• Formulación orgánica básica.
• Reconocimiento de grupos funcionales.
• Material específico de laboratorio.
