Java Software Engineer | Plugins & Frameworks

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join an international modernization project for a trading platform, collaborating with teams distributed between Switzerland and Spain.

🚀 What you will do
You will be part of a development team specialized in the evolution of an internal framework used by the E2E Test Engineering team. Your work will be focused on developing the framework itself and its extensions, not on creating test cases:
• Design, development, and maintenance of plugins and extensions on an existing framework.
• Development of components following a modular and extensible architecture, based on interfaces/SPI.
• Design and implementation of adapters and connectors to integrate the framework with different services and systems.
• Integration of services related to trading, market data, and reference data.
• Development of integrations and components for reporting and other ecosystem services.
• Integration of developed components into existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Working with tools such as GitLab CI and ReportPortal.
• Collaboration with the internal E2E team to transform integration needs into technical specifications.
• Documentation of developments made and knowledge transfer to the internal team to facilitate plugin maintenance.
• Participation in an international and distributed environment, working alongside teams from different countries.

🌍 What are we looking for in you?
We are looking for a development profile with solid experience in Java and, especially, with the ability to understand and extend existing frameworks:
• Advanced Java: solid experience in professional development with Java.
• Frameworks and plugins: experience developing or extending frameworks through plugins, SPI, interfaces, or modular/pluggable architectures.
• Adapters and connectors: experience developing components to integrate different systems, services, or protocols.
• Integration and CI/CD: experience with Git/GitLab and continuous integration and delivery pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Containers: experience with Docker.
• Databases: knowledge of SQL/DBMS.
• Unix/Linux environments: experience working in Unix or Linux environments.
• Fluent English: this will be the usual working language within an international and distributed team.
• Education: degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrable practical experience.
