What we're looking for

🎓Intermediate/Advanced Vocational Training in Restaurant Services / Restaurant Management or similar.

💼 Minimum of 2 years of experience in the position in 5-star hotels and the luxury segment. Experience in Leading Hotels of the World, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, or similar is valued.

🗣💬 English, Level A2. Other languages are valued.

The role

🔔 We are offering a position for a Waiter/Waitress Assistant to work at El Fuerte Marbella, the first hotel founded by the company. It opened its doors in 1957 and, after a complete renovation, reopened in 2023 as a 5-star hotel.

El Fuerte Marbella, located on the beachfront in the center of Marbella, offers impressive sea views along the promenade and the Mediterranean, and is just a 5-minute walk from Plaza de los Naranjos. With 266 rooms combining casual luxury and a cozy atmosphere, without sacrificing spectacular Mediterranean views.

What you'll do

The role involves providing food and beverage service at the various points of sale, as well as streamlining service by quickly transporting dishes or drinks that will later be served alongside the waiter/waitress, ensuring a professional and quality service while meeting customer satisfaction, following the protocols and standards set by Fuerte Group.

Your day-to-day will look like this…

Carry out the customer service duties at the different points of sale, following the established protocols for each one.
Ensuring the achievement of the established departmental goals, as well as compliance with critical processes and area operations, in accordance with the hotel's standards.
Greet, accompany, advise, and see off the customer.
Inform and advise the customer about the different products on offer.
Take orders, as well as serve customer requests.
Handle billing and payment collection.
Collaborate in preparing the work areas for service, as well as the electronic devices to be used and disconnecting them at the end.
Collaborate in preparing and setting up the tables for service, according to the manual and protocols established by Fuerte Group in each case, and verify that all elements meet the required standards.
Collaborate in setting up and clearing the buffet, as well as serving at it.
Check and inspect the materials necessary for the proper performance of the duties of the position.
Collaborate in storing the products and/or materials received, as well as replenishing them.
Collaborate in preparing and setting up special events, in coordination with the supervisor.
Serve appetizers to accompany the drinks prepared/served at the bar.
Collect the food from the hot pass in the kitchen and deliver it to the dining room.
