Senior Backend Engineer

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing with Java 8+, with recent experience in modern versions (17/21) highly valued.

• Solid experience in microservices architecture and data integration (Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Design, DDD).

• Experience in the design and consumption of REST APIs.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container management tools.

• Experience in cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.).

• Experience working in agile teams and being a self-sufficient, proactive person.

• Passion for technology and curiosity to learn new tools and paradigms.

• Native or fluent Spanish level.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Glintt Next team, where you will apply your experience developing scalable, high-performance backend solutions for Telco sector projects, working with modern technologies and cloud-native architectures.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, your day-to-day will be oriented towards designing, developing, and evolving backend services built with Java (8 to 21), applying microservices, hexagonal architecture, and reactive programming architectures. You will participate in the construction and improvement of REST APIs, system integration via events with Kafka, and the deployment of services in Google Cloud environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the rest of the team in an agile environment, promoting development best practices, code quality, test automation, observability, and DevOps principles.

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services in Java (from version 8 to 21), reactive programming, and microservices and hexagonal architecture.

• Build and improve scalable, well-documented REST APIs.

• Integrate services through events using Kafka.

• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Apply best development practices, automated testing (unit and integration), monitoring, and DevOps principles.

• Collaborate in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban, Spotify Model), maintaining close communication with the rest of the team.
