The role

At Grupo Planeta, we are looking to hire a Debt Collection Agent with French for the African market for our Barcelona team.

You will be part of ACTIVA, Grupo Planeta's service unit specialized in the outsourcing of business processes, with a strong focus on the experience of customers and students.

Job Mission

Manage and follow up on debt collection files for students in the African market, offering support and attention through different communication channels. The objective will be to regularize non-payment situations, reach payment agreements and commitments, and guarantee efficient management of the assigned portfolio, adapting communication to an international and multicultural environment.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Attend to and resolve, via email and/or telephone, inquiries and incidents related to payments from students in the African market.
  • Make follow-up calls to students with pending payments, managing collection through administrative channels and seeking to reach payment commitments.
  • Individually analyze non-payment cases and evaluate possible alternatives or agreements for the regularization of the debt.
  • Negotiate and follow up on payment commitments and agreements.
  • Manage and follow up on the assigned debt collection portfolio.
  • Keep the information and classification of each file updated in the management tools.
  • Prepare reporting on recovered debt, commitments reached, and the status of open cases.
  • Issue full payment certificates when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with other involved teams and areas to guarantee correct attention and resolution of cases.
