What we're looking for

PhD related to the area of knowledge.
Professional experience: at least 4 years of experience in the university environment and a minimum of 3 years of experience in academic management.
Residence in Valencia is essential. On-site position

The role

We are selecting a Deputy Director of the Higher School of Engineering, Science and Technology to lead the continuous improvement process in degree programs and oversee the smooth functioning of the Faculty, ensuring compliance with quality standards and the academic model. Drive the implementation and deployment of new degrees within their area of knowledge.

What you'll do

Develop and implement the annual strategic plan through co-creation and activation with the rest of the School's team.
To develop and ensure compliance with improvement plans for the area and degree programs.
Ensure compliance with the requirements established by the University's quality management system and drive its continuous improvement.
To supervise the monitoring, modifications, verifications, and accreditations of degree programs.
To carry out cross-cutting coordination across the degree programs in the area.
To contribute to the implementation of the academic model.
To contribute to the promotion of teaching and technological innovation together with the corresponding vice-rectorates.
To guarantee and supervise compliance with academic faculty metrics.
To ensure the flow of information and communication among the different agents of the Faculty.
To lead a multidisciplinary team of program directors, faculty, and technical staff.
To identify faculty hiring needs by degree program, providing academic value.
To coordinate the training and professional development plan together with the corresponding vice-rectorates.
To deliver the teaching assigned for each academic year.
To conduct research and produce scientific publications.
Attend conferences/congresses in their field of expertise.
