About the role

With a diversified corporate structure and a strong international component, we are looking to add to our legal and financial division an Assistant to the Tax Director to ensure excellence in tax compliance, support internal tax advisory and the tax strategy of the group's companies.

What will be your mission?

Reporting directly to the Group Tax Director, your main mission will be to collaborate on tax planning, supervise compliance with the tax obligations of the different business units, provide internal advice to business managers and give technical support during inspections, audits and corporate restructurings.

Duties

  • Tax Compliance: Supervise and review the correct settlement of the group's different taxes (Corporate Tax, VAT, Excise Duties, Transfer Taxes, Personal Income Tax, withholdings, customs, etc.). Knowledge of Corporate Tax and VAT taxation in cross-border transactions will be valued.
  • Tax Consolidation: Support the management and calculation of Corporate Income Tax under the group's tax consolidation regime.
  • Internal Advisory: Resolve tax queries from the different business areas and subsidiaries, assessing the tax impact of regular commercial operations.
  • Transfer Pricing: Collaborate on the definition, monitoring and documentation of the group's related-party transactions.
  • Audits and Inspections: Actively participate in preparing information for external tax audits and requirements from the Tax Administration.
  • Annual Accounts: Preparation and/or supervision of the annual accounts of the entities in the corporate group.
  • Regulatory Updates: Analyse legislative changes and propose legal tax optimisation measures within the current regulatory framework.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Degree in Law, Business Administration and Management (ADE) or a Double Degree. A Master's degree specialising in Tax Advisory (or similar) will be valued.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in tax departments or tax advisory firms; knowledge of international taxation will be valued.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Spanish tax system (especially Corporate Income Tax and VAT).
  • Experience in international taxation and consolidation regimes will be valued.
  • Proficient use of IT tools and ERPs (Dynamics, etc.) and AEAT platforms.
  • Fluent English (B2/C1), given the international nature of some operations.

Soft Skills: Technical rigour, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, proactivity and ease of working in multidisciplinary teams between Teruel and Valencia.
