Senior Industrial Intellectual Property Legal Counsel

• A proven track record in industrial intellectual property, particularly patents and utility models, and in commercial negotiations with international companies.

• A Law degree and a master's degree in Intellectual Property Law.

• Membership of a European Bar Association.

• Excellent skills in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong competencies in project management and strategic problem-solving, with a collaborative approach.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

• Manage legal negotiations concerning industrial and intellectual property matters.

• Draft and maintain NDAs, IP licences, R&D, joint development and technology agreements.

• Advise on patents, utility models, trademarks, copyright and other IP matters.

• Draft patent applications, utility models and employee invention disclosures.

• Conduct patent searches and prepare Freedom to Operate reports for new inventions.

• Manage IP risks, litigation, registration and enforcement activities.

• Coordinate external law firms and maintain strategic relationships with outside counsel.

• Develop IP policies and support the management of IP as a core company asset.

This role is employed by Horse Powertrain and is based in Madrid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain's other sites.
