What we're looking for

Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development with Java 8 or higher and Spring.
Advanced experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Demonstrable experience in unit testing and in the application of TDD and BDD.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs, as well as implementing solutions with Kafka.
Experience providing mentoring and technical guidance to junior profiles, and working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
B2 level of English and availability to participate in verification processes and meet the additional requirements associated with the project.

We want to recruit a Senior Java Backend Engineer with experience in Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, and Kafka to participate in the development of robust and scalable backend services in cyberdefense projects and critical environments, in Barcelona.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Java 8 or higher and Spring.
Design, implement, and optimize REST APIs and integration flows between systems.
Work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, guaranteeing the performance and efficiency of the solutions.
Implement and maintain messaging and event processing solutions using Kafka.
Apply best practices in unit testing, TDD, BDD, Clean Code, and software quality.
Guide and technically support junior profiles, actively collaborating with the team in Agile environments.
