Piping Engineer

• Completed technical engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Specialty in Structures (metal and cement/concrete).
• Software: Caesar.
• Intermediate to advanced English level.

We are looking for a Piping Engineer for one of our clients, an engineering firm in the oil and gas sector located in Madrid and Bilbao.

• Definition of 2D piping layout drawings.
• Participating in the definition of piping classes (PSI, DIN, etc.).
• Material selection and sizing.
• Preparation of MTO.
• Generation of isometrics.
• P&IDs: 3D piping diagrams.
• Involvement in procurement phases (supplier selection/validation, evaluation of technical proposals, etc.).
• Stress and force calculation.
• Design/review of supports.
• Being able to handle all applicable work specifications, piping classes, standards, and work instructions that may be necessary for the correct development of the assigned work.
• Performing the required stress calculations according to work instructions and project specifications.
• Performing and transmitting to the Mechanical Department the orientation, shape, and design load of piping tension clamps and nozzles.
• Cooperating with piping designers in the selection of optimal routes to simplify stress design and assembly work.
• Verifying comments and following up on piping studies and drawings to ensure the correct inclusion of stresses and civil stress requirements.
