About the role

At KAVE HOME, we are a brand that, in addition to designing, manufacturing, and selling furniture and decor, drives an ambitious digital transformation to deliver an excellent omnichannel experience.

Our international team of more than 1,100 people and a technology organization of around 100 professionals work on digital products critical to the business: B2C e-commerce, B2B e-commerce, physical stores, franchises, and multiple integrations with corporate systems.

We have grown quickly, and today we deal with a fragmented ecosystem. We are at a key moment: simplifying the architecture, refactoring capabilities, and evolving toward a headless enterprise e-commerce platform that allows us to better operate all our sales channels.

We are looking for a senior Backend engineer with real experience in enterprise e-commerce platform integration to technically lead the evolution of our transactional ecosystem and integrations. This role will be key to reliably connecting the future commerce engine with our domains, corporate systems, and sales channels.

We need someone with an architectural vision, experience in complex integrations, and the judgment to design robust, simple, and secure solutions capable of supporting omnichannel operations, high volume, and short- and long-term evolution needs.

What you'll do

- Technically lead key backend projects within the e-commerce ecosystem transformation, defining design, sequencing, risks, dependencies, and quality guardrails.

- Design the integration between the enterprise commerce platform and the rest of the technology landscape: ERP, PIM, pricing, stock, catalog, promotions, identity, payments, orders, logistics, and other corporate services.

- Define APIs, events, contracts, and synchronization mechanisms that foster a robust, secure, observable architecture ready for future evolution.

- Act as a technical reference in resilience, data integrity, transactional consistency, performance, and incident prevention in business-critical systems.

- Raise the team's level through mentoring at N1/N2, shared technical design, and reference documentation.

- Influence cross-team decisions with product, business, platform, and external partners, bringing criteria on cost, risk, operations, and maintainability.

- We value: humility and shared success (Here to belong); technical quality and craftsmanship (Here to inspire); experimentation and continuous improvement (Here to disrupt); focus on results and reliable delivery (Here to deliver); learning and mentoring (Here to grow).

- We expect: cross-squad and cross-domain impact, high autonomy, the ability to question with sound judgment, systemic vision, and the skill to turn technical complexity into understandable decisions.

- Design and evolve headless APIs and clear integration contracts between the enterprise e-commerce platform and the rest of the systems.

- Design data models, synchronization strategies, and distributed flows, considering consistency, latency, retries, idempotency, and fault tolerance.

- Lead complex integrations with ERP/PIM, payments, promotions, search engines, OMS/logistics, and other third parties from a security and reliability perspective.

- Define and optimize service-based architectures, asynchronous processes, queues, and events when they deliver better scalability and decoupling.

- Improve performance, caching, and observability across the domain, establishing operational metrics, SLOs/SLIs, useful alerts, and post-deploy discipline.

- Drive testing standards, documentation, and technical quality to reduce regressions and prevent operations from depending on heroics.

- Participate in technical evaluations of platforms and enterprise partners, analyzing fit-gap, integration implications, data models, extensibility, and operational risks.

- Lead the resolution of high-impact critical incidents, promoting quality postmortems and real corrective/preventive actions.

- Document key decisions through ADRs, design reviews, diagrams, and reference materials for organizational scalability.

- You will apply and grow in: headless API design, enterprise platform integration, data and integration domain, resilience, transactional consistency, asynchronous queues and processes, caching, observability, testing, security, and backend architecture for omnichannel e-commerce.

What you'll get

- The opportunity to technically lead an enterprise e-commerce transformation with direct impact across multiple channels and business domains.

- A high-level architecture and integration challenge in an international company, with real complexity, technological ambition, and room to make decisions.

- The chance to work hand in hand with product, frontend, data, platform, and strategic partners to build a simpler, more robust, and more scalable technology foundation.

- An environment to influence, improve standards, and leave a clear mark on the evolution of KAVE HOME's architecture.

- You will enjoy a unique workspace with new, open, and sustainable offices.

- Fresh fruit available every morning. Catering available plus a dining area to eat.

- Competitive compensation including a flexible benefits plan (health insurance, restaurant card, transport card, and childcare expenses).

- Gym with 24/7 access availability.

Requirements

- Solid production experience as a senior backend engineer leading complex projects, critical integrations, and technical decisions with real business impact.

- Demonstrable experience integrating enterprise e-commerce platforms such as VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or other equivalent solutions.

- Deep knowledge of API design, system integration, and headless architectures oriented to omnichannel e-commerce environments.

- Experience with ERP/PIM integrations, payments, stock, pricing, orders, search, and other core e-commerce capabilities.

- Ability to design robust and simple systems, with sound judgment around caching, retries, circuit breakers, data integrity, security, and architectural trade-offs.

- Experience in observability, automated testing, incident analysis, SLOs/SLIs, and structurally improving system reliability.

- Solid knowledge of security applied to integrations and transactional flows: authentication/authorization, OWASP, sanitization, secrets, encryption, and data protection.

- Ability to work with ambiguity, manage third-party dependencies, and communicate clearly with technical profiles, business stakeholders, and external partners.

- Experience mentoring other engineers and raising standards through feedback, documentation, pairing, and rigorous reviews.

- Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, search engines (Algolia/Elasticsearch), observability tools, Docker, and CI/CD will be valued.

- You use AI tools responsibly to accelerate work, validating results, preserving security, and documenting key decisions.
