We are currently looking for a Legal Director to lead the company's legal department, with a special focus on commercial law, ensuring solid, agile, and business-oriented legal advice. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the organization in strategic decision-making, providing legal insight, practical judgment, and the ability to anticipate risks and opportunities.

In addition to serving as the legal reference for the various areas of the company, this role will play a key part in the management, coordination, and development of the legal team, ensuring an appropriate distribution of responsibilities and the technical quality of the department's work.

The role will contribute to ensuring the company operates with legal certainty, agility, and efficiency, actively participating in corporate, contractual, and corporate governance initiatives, and acting as a trusted point of contact in a dynamic, international, and growing environment.

• Lead and evolve the company's legal function, ensuring a robust, efficient, and scalable model of business support, aligned with strategic objectives and the organization's international growth.

• Define the legal department's strategy and operating model, including team organization, prioritization of initiatives, standardization of processes, and optimization of internal and external resources.

• Develop and lead the legal team, fostering technical excellence, a business-oriented approach, and a culture of service, while establishing clear performance management and prioritization mechanisms.

• Act as a business partner to senior management, providing proactive advice on commercial law, contracting, international expansion, and corporate governance, with a decision-oriented approach.

• Supervise and actively participate in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of key contracts, ensuring an appropriate balance between risk mitigation and business agility.

• Provide legal support for corporate transactions, international expansion processes, strategic alliances, and cross-functional projects, bringing solid legal judgment and practical insight.

• Collaborate closely with the Compliance area in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks, ensuring coherence between the control framework and business needs.

• Advise the business on the application of the regulatory framework across different markets, ensuring sound legal decisions in complex regulatory environments.

• Define and standardize policies, contractual models, and legal procedures, in coordination with Compliance, to ensure alignment with the company's regulatory framework and improve operational efficiency (legal ops mindset).

• Manage relationships with external counsel and other legal stakeholders, optimizing quality, cost, and alignment with the company's strategic priorities.

• Promote, together with Compliance, a culture of risk management and informed decision-making, fostering smooth collaboration between the legal department and the rest of the organization.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law.

• Solid experience in commercial law, with prior experience in corporate environments and law firms.

• Prior experience in leading, coordinating, or managing legal teams.

• Postgraduate education in Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Corporate Legal Advisory, or similar fields.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, essential for communication in an international environment.

• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.

• Business acumen, results orientation, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

• Decisive profile, with autonomy, rigor, and the ability to work in dynamic environments.
