Observability and Monitoring Consultant

• Governance and Observability Model: Define, maintain, and evolve observability best practices, standards, and procedures at a corporate level.

• KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs: Design metric models oriented toward reliability, business, and user experience, avoiding approaches based solely on technical thresholds.

• End-to-end observability: Ensure the correct instrumentation of metrics, logs, and distributed traces across the different components of the architecture.

• Reporting and Dashboards: Design and maintain reporting models and corporate dashboards that allow for a clear view of the state of services.

• Alerting and Noise Management: Define and optimize advanced alerting models, integrated with ITSM processes, improving early detection and reducing unnecessary alerts.

• Functional supervision: Supervise the quality of instrumentation and the consistency of the observed data, without assuming the daily operation of the platforms.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-mortem reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes for service reliability and quality.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate continuously with architecture, development, operations, and technology vendor teams.

• Functional reference: Act as a functional point of reference regarding observability for the various technical teams.

Additionally, we will highly value if you have experience and/or knowledge in:

• Specific training in Observability, SRE, DevOps, or IT Service Management.

• Specific functional knowledge and experience with Dynatrace.

• Previous experience in IT Governance Offices (Observability, SRE, DevOps, Quality, or Architecture).

• Experience in defining metrics oriented toward business and customer experience.

• Experience in large-scale and high-criticality corporate environments.

• Participation in transformation, standardization, and technological governance initiatives.

• Level B2 or higher, for occasional interaction with international teams

• Between 3 and 6 years of experience in complex IT environments.

• Previous experience in governance, design, or evolution roles for observability, monitoring, APM, or SRE services.

• Knowledge and experience in end-to-end observability: metrics, logs, and distributed traces.

• Functional knowledge of observability/APM platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, or AppDynamics, including the definition and management of SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.

• General knowledge of application architectures, middleware, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Experience in advanced alerting models, noise reduction, and the integration of observability with IT incident, problem, and change processes.

• Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL methodologies, especially in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Continuous Improvement.

• Knowledge of the IT service lifecycle.

• Ability to produce clear and structured technical and procedural documentation.

• Valued previous experience in regulated corporate environments such as banking, insurance, or utilities.

• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with technical teams, business teams, and vendors.
