It is the trusted infrastructure for major players in the sector in Italy and now also Factorial, which is now looking for colleagues to help bring this capability to more companies across different countries in Europe.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and system integrations for cloud platforms.

• Develop and implement microservices that improve the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the application.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business requirements.

• Optimize database interactions and application performance, ensuring code quality and maintainability.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliable and stable software releases.

• Contribute to technical discussions, architectural improvements, and the continuous enhancement of engineering best practices.

Your main challenge will be supporting your backend teammates in development, but you'll also need to roll up your sleeves and handle other tasks when the situation calls for it.

On a day-to-day basis, this means:

• Good technical communication skills.

• Ability to work with moderate supervision (not constant).

• Good judgment to ask for help and to propose simple improvements.

Technical Skills:
Solid experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails.

• Experience with ActiveRecord and migrations.

• Good command of Git.

• Use of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Experience with automated testing (RSpec or Minitest).

• Experience managing background jobs (e.g., Sidekiq, ActiveJob).

• Experience with REST and consuming APIs.

• Basic knowledge of containers (Docker) or willingness to learn.

• Experience optimizing SQL queries and data modeling in relational databases.

• Ability to integrate third-party services via webhooks and RESTful APIs.

• Experience applying object-oriented software design patterns and clean code principles in the service layer.

• Conversational level of English.
