Requirements

What we're looking for

Education and Experience: Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in ASIR (Administration of Computer Systems in Network), Technical Degree or equivalent, with between 1 and 3 years of experience in Wintel/Virtualization systems administration.
Microsoft Environments: Solid experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
Virtualization: Practical knowledge in VMware vSphere administration (vCenter, ESXi, versions 6.7, 7, or 8).
Infrastructure and Services: Notions or experience with VDI (Citrix or Horizon), patch deployment with SCCM/WSUS, and Exchange Server 2016 (DAG).
Scripting: Ability to create, adapt, and execute scripts in PowerShell / PowerCLI for administration tasks.
Methodology: Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident and change/RFC management).

Nice to have

Valuable: Voluntary availability to perform paid rotating on-call shifts.

The role

At Logicalis Spain, we are looking to hire a Senior Wintel & Virtualization Systems Engineer to work in a high-availability healthcare environment, administering and maintaining critical Wintel server infrastructure and virtualization platforms.

What you'll do

Windows Server Administration (2012 R2 to 2025): Active Directory, GPO management, DHCP and DNS servers, and DFS file structure.

VMware vSphere v8 Administration: VM deployment via templates, resource management, datastore/LUN provisioning with Storage, and support in ESXi maintenance with vLCM.
VDI Environment (Omnissa Horizon / Citrix): Desktop pool maintenance, platform support, Gold Image updates, and SSL certificate management.
N2 Infrastructure Support: Diagnosis and resolution of performance and resource incidents on virtual and physical servers.
Mass Patching (SCCM / WSUS): Administration and deployment of security patches and updates on workstations and servers.
Exchange Server 2016 and Scripting: Operation on DAG clusters (databases, connectors, transport policies) and use of PowerShell/PowerCLI for routine task automation, mass executions, and reporting.
Preventive infrastructure maintenance: Periodic control of hardware status (HPE iLO) and extraction of health metrics in VMware (RVTools) to anticipate resource and capacity issues.
Optional participation in 24x7 on-call shifts (paid separately, following an onboarding and infrastructure training period).
