Engineering Manager

• Experience managing teams: follow-up, 1:1s, performance reviews, talent retention.

• Experience giving feedback, including difficult conversations.

• Strong leadership, planning and communication skills.

• Extensive knowledge of .NET platform (Core and Framework).

• Design patterns and best practices, including MVC, MVVM and clean architecture.

• Experience with C#, MAUI

• Experience with Entity Framework and SQL Server

• Experience with RESTful APIs.

• Advanced use of GIT and Bitbucket or similar.

We are looking for someone who does not wait for AI to "arrive" in their team, but rather brings it in.

• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in the software development context (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.).

• Ability to execute yourself with AI: not just supervising, but also prototyping and solving problems directly.

• Ownership mindset: if something can be automated or accelerated with AI, you identify it, propose it and drive it forward.

• Experience (or strong willingness) leading AI adoption initiatives in engineering teams.

• Results orientation: you define metrics, measure impact and communicate progress clearly.

• Genuine curiosity about the AI/ML ecosystem and its application to digital products and technology platforms.

• High level of English.

• Immediate hiring with a permanent contract.

You will manage an area made up of 3 squads, being responsible for their performance, culture and technical evolution. An essential part of your role is to leverage the available AI tools so that your team delivers more, better and faster, not as an option, but as a responsibility.

• Balancing short-term productivity with long-term maintainability and robustness.

• Working hand in hand with Product Owners to understand the needs of Retail Operations as well as their backlogs.

• Managing dependencies between teams within the Technology Department.

• Adopt and promote the use of AI tools in the team's day-to-day: assisted code review, test generation, automatic documentation, incident analysis,...

• Executing yourself: not just delegating the use of AI, but using it directly to solve problems, generate prototypes, analyze data or prepare proposals.

• Identifying automation opportunities in team and business processes, and leading their implementation in an agile way.
