  • You will write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, collaborating with peers during code reviews and pairing sessions.
  • You will work closely with product and design to understand user needs and turn requirements into practical, scalable backend solutions.
  • You will participate in technical discussions, bringing ideas, asking questions, and helping your team move from concept to implementation.
  • You will support the delivery lifecycle, contributing to testing, debugging, and monitoring to ensure smooth releases.
  • You will learn from senior engineers, gaining experience in cloud infrastructure, system design, and performance considerations.
  • You will stay curious and experiment, exploring new tools and contributing to continuous improvement in engineering practices.

  • Working knowledge of unit testing and code quality practices
  • A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions and grow
  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written

Nice to have:

  • Basic experience with AWS or other cloud environments
  • Exposure to event-driven systems or microservices
  • Some familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Svelte or React
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or monitoring tools

Tech you will work with:

  • Backend: Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript
  • Infrastructure: AWS, serverless components
  • Data: PostgreSQL, event streaming, messaging systems
  • Tooling: GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing frameworks

Why to join us here at Mercanis?

  • You will collaborate in a culture built on learning, ownership, and teamwork
