Apply your Magic with us

Are you ready to explore, break barriers, and discover much more? We know you have big plans. We do, too; innovating with science and technology to enrich people's lives with solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics passions our colleagues around the world. Together, we dream big and share the enthusiasm for caring for a great diversity of people, customers, patients, and the planet. That is why we are always looking for curious minds that imagine the never-before-seen with us.

What you'll do

Shape the cloud foundations behind the next generation of data, AI and agentic products across a global science and technology organisation. As Senior Platform Architect - AWS, you will define the target architecture, evolution roadmap, guardrails and engineering standards for the Global UPTIMIZE AWS Platform. You will turn complex business and engineering needs into secure, scalable and developer-friendly platform capabilities that help teams move from experimentation to production. Working across AWS architecture, networking, security, identity, platform engineering and agentic technologies, you will establish the patterns that enable autonomy without compromising trust, control or operational ownership. You will define how agent identity, tool access, delegation, workload isolation, auditability and runtime controls should work when software can act on behalf of people and processes. You will lead architecture across AWS networking, identity federation, multi-account environments, container platforms, hybrid connectivity, resilience and security observability. You will make the secure and scalable path the easiest path through reusable architectures, automation, policy-as-code, templates and self-service capabilities. You will partner closely with platform engineers, software engineers, security specialists, data scientists, AI engineers and product leaders, turning architectural intent into working capabilities. With a product mindset, you will improve the platform through real user feedback and measure success through reliability, developer experience, security posture, adoption, delivery speed and cost efficiency. This is an opportunity to make your hands-on experience with enterprise AWS platforms and agentic engineering matter at global scale.

What we're looking for

  • You bring significant experience in cloud and systems architecture, with deep hands-on expertise designing and operating production platforms on AWS.

  • You have strong expertise in AWS networking, including VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, routing, private connectivity, ingress and egress controls, DNS and network security.

  • You are highly experienced in cloud security, identity and access management, identity federation, workload identity and least-privilege design across multi-account environments.

  • You have designed and operated container platforms using Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS and Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle, service networking, workload scheduling, image management and security.

  • You have practical, day-to-day experience using agentic AI to research, design, code, test, troubleshoot, automate or operate systems, and understand the implications of agents that can access data and take action.

  • You understand agentic application architectures, including models, agents, tools, orchestration, memory, guardrails and evaluation, with recent experience using Amazon Bedrock, Agentforce or comparable platforms.

  • You turn complex technical challenges into clear, reusable patterns and communicate architecture effectively to engineering, product, security and senior stakeholder audiences.

  • You take ownership from architectural direction through implementation and operation, while balancing developer experience, resilience, maintainability, cost, enterprise risk and the realities of a fast-moving technical landscape.
