Exciting Opportunity | Maintenance Contract Specialist - Spain
Are you ready to make an impact? An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join Merck as a Maintenance Contract Specialist, embedded within our dynamic Milli-Q Field Service team in Spain.
As a Maintenance Contract Specialist, you will manage the Service Contracts Renewal Process and play a key role in driving the success of Milli-Q priorities and goals - contributing directly to both our customers' satisfaction and our business growth.
What You Will Do
Service Contracts Renewal - Directly engage with customers to drive renewals and negotiate Upgrades or Upsells, in close collaboration with Field Sales Specialist (FSS) and Field Service Engineer (FSE). You will act as the owner of this process from start to finish.
Quotations & Purchase Orders - Create renewal quotations, process contract POs, and simplify and act with urgency to agree on follow-up actions with FSS/FSE when contracts are at risk of not being renewed.
SMAX Accuracy - Maintain the accuracy of service contracts across all customers and locations in SMAX, ensuring data integrity at all times.
Additional Services Promotion - Be curious and innovate boldly by actively offering additional services to expand customer value.
Public Tenders - Draw up and supervise Public Tenders related to Milli-Q business - covering Service Contracts, Consumables, and Hardware - in close cooperation with FSS. You will raise the bar in the quality and competitiveness of our tender submissions.
Clinical Key Account Management - Act as the main contact person for assigned Clinical Key Accounts, guaranteeing a high level of collaboration to support Service and Sales tasks. You will be obsessed with customers and patients, answering incoming requests via phone, email with professionalism and care.
Who You Are

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Business Administration or a related field
Fluent English (Spanish proficiency required; additional languages a plus)
A strong customer- and results-oriented mindset - you raise the bar in everything you do
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and sales skills - you know how to connect, persuade, and build trust
A true team player who thrives in collaborative environments
Willingness to take responsibility and work with independence - you act as the owner of your work
