The role

About the Position:

The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for supporting the company's daily accounting activities, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and the accounting of leases in accordance with IFRS 16 regulations. Likewise, they will participate in general accounting processes, monthly closings, statutory reporting, preparation of annual accounts, and internal and external audits.

What you'll do

  • Manage Accounts Payable activities, including the processing, validation, and recording of vendor invoices, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Maintain the vendor database up to date and resolve invoice discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure correct accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS and local regulations (GAAP), especially regarding IFRS 16.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including provisions and journal entries.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits, as well as in addressing audit requirements.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements under the supervision of the area manager.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the accounting area, especially in Accounts Payable workflows.
  • Provide support in general ledger activities, including balance reconciliations, accounting entries, and analytical reviews of assigned accounts.
  • Work in close collaboration with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, providing support when necessary.
