Power Electronics Engineer

• Deep knowledge of power electronics: architectures, semiconductors, harmonics, filtering systems, cooling systems, etc.
• Ability to appreciate electrical constraints that affect mechanical design.
• Knowledge of the Converter Control area that affects electrical design: control loops, bandwidths, protections, operating modes.
• Experience in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of converters.
• Experience in field support for converters. Knowledge of electrical installations for the resolution of field problems.
• Design compatible with compliance with regulations applicable to power electronics.
•  Power electronics simulation: PSim, Simulink, Plecs
• Analog electronics simulation: LTspice, KiCad.
• Knowledge of electrical schematic design tools (ePlan)
• Experience in high-power converter design.
• Experience in converter design for battery storage, wind, and back-to-back applications.
• Knowledge of liquid cooling systems.

• Technical English level B2/C1 (ability to write specifications and conduct technical meetings).
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (interface with mechanical and loads/control teams).
• Analytical capacity and complex problem-solving. Design auditing.
• Availability to travel to the factory to provide support in the manufacturing process and lead the testing process.
• Availability to travel and attend commissioning in Spain and abroad.

At Norvento TECHnPower, we continue to drive the development of our own technology for the renewable energy sector. To strengthen our Power Electronics team, we are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer.

• Electrical and electronic design. Adaptation of architectures and topologies to the specific needs of each application or project. Design, optimization, and updating of electrical schematics.
• Component selection. Technical and economic evaluation of alternatives, selection of suitable components, and proposal of improvements with technical support. Preparation of bills of materials and coordination with mechanical design.
• Integration with control electronics. Analysis of analog electronics (acquisition, power supplies, inputs, and outputs) to optimize the integration between electrical and electronic systems.
• Integration with other subsystems. Study of transformers, generators, batteries, and panels. Identification of interactions and design of interfaces that ensure the complete integration of the converter into the installation.
• Validation and testing. Analysis of applicable regulations, extraction of requirements, and evaluation of their impact on the design. Definition of test and validation plans on the test bench. Participation in FAT and SAT testing.
• Electrical simulation models. Development of simulation models for design analysis and optimization.
• Converter datasheet. Preparation of guaranteed converter datasheets.
• Magnetic component specifications. Drafting of technical requirements for transformers, inductances, and other magnetic elements.
• Design reports. Preparation of technical reports and documentation associated with gate steps.
• Support for the Commercial area. Technical assistance in offers, arguments, and meetings with clients.
• Support for the After-sales department. Diagnosis and resolution of problems in the field, collaborating with service teams and clients.
