Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Experience in the industrial sector: Although we favorably value having previous experience in plant or inspection, if you are a junior profile eager to learn and train on the ground, you will have the support and mentorship of our senior team.

  • Technical curiosity and proactivity: Rigor regarding technical detail, desire to solve challenges in a team, and a continuous improvement attitude.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Pressure Vessels: We will value very positively if you have specific training in the inspection and repair of pressure equipment, as this will facilitate your direct intervention in the key assets of the shutdown.

Education & certifications

  • Specialized technical training: Degree or Technical Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar) or a Higher Level Vocational Training cycle (CFGS in Industrial Mechatronics or Industrial Chemistry). This is the foundation that will allow you to interpret blueprints, understand material behavior, and assimilate industrial safety regulations.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • Career Plan and Future Stability: The shutdown is your gateway. Up to 4 inspectors will have the opportunity to integrate into OCA Global's permanent workforce:

    • As a resident inspector at the petrochemical complex itself (if the fit is optimal for you and the client).

    • Or by joining as a regulatory mechanical inspector in our Tarragona or Lleida offices.

  • Tailor-made training provided by OCA Global: We train you specifically and practically in a real petrochemical environment so that you can develop your skills with safety and autonomy.

  • Close, agile, and team-oriented culture: At OCA Global, we bet on a horizontal and dynamic structure, where your voice is heard, your development is supported, and work is done in an environment of true camaraderie.

The role

Are you motivated to take a decisive leap in your technical career and learn in one of the most demanding and dynamic industrial environments in the country? At OCA Global, we work with a clear purpose: to make the world a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable place by guaranteeing the reliability of critical facilities.

We are looking to hire 8 Mechanical Inspectors to join a large-scale project during the upcoming technical shutdown of one of the leading companies in the petrochemical sector in Tarragona (expected duration from your immediate start until late January / February). Furthermore, this challenge does not end with the shutdown: up to 4 of these positions will have a real continuity plan to join our permanent workforce.

What you'll do

  • Inspect and verify pressure vessels, piping systems, and critical mechanical equipment on-site, checking their condition against applicable regulatory standards.

  • Prepare technical field reports and regulatory records with rigor and clarity, documenting findings and proposing viable solutions to provide total technical peace of mind to the client and competent authorities, consolidating your analytical capacity.

  • Actively coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams of the industrial complex during the shutdown, ensuring that interventions are executed under the highest standards of quality and regulatory safety, experiencing the real pace of high-impact projects.

How you'll work

  • Work Dynamics and Shifts (The Industrial Challenge)

    • Pre-shutdown phase: Immediate start with an intensive schedule from 07:00 to 15:00 h for your preparation and training on-site.

    • During the shutdown: Total immersion with 12-hour rotating shifts (including night shifts). We will work in intensive blocks of up to 3 continuous weeks.
