About the role

At OCN we are experts in the construction of high-value-added projects and we are looking for a Site Foreman, who will report directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for the operational coordination of subcontractors, trades and own staff (if any) assigned to the work fronts under their responsibility in any of our projects. 

What you'll do

Duties and responsibilities: Organize and supervise the work fronts on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with the work plan and the Site Manager's instructions.

  • Control the correct technical execution of the works according to drawings, specifications and regulations.

  • Coordinate the entry, presence and activity of subcontractors and trades, ensuring the availability of resources.

  • Verify measurements and performance of the executed works.

  • Detect deviations in production or quality and propose corrective actions.

  • Ensure the correct implementation of auxiliary means (scaffolding, platforms, protections, etc.).

  • Ensure that the works meet the required quality standards and project documentation.

  • Verify the proper use of materials and their correct placement.

  • Report incidents of non-conformities and collaborate in their resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Plan and preventive regulations.

  • Control the use of PPE, order and cleanliness in their area of responsibility.

  • Report detected risks, incidents or accidents to the Site Manager and the Prevention Technician.

  • Maintain fluid communication with the Site Manager and provide information on progress, needs and risks.

  • Coordinate simultaneous works of different subcontractors, avoiding interference.

  • Inform the staff under their charge about daily objectives and changes in the schedule.

  • Request materials, tools, machinery and auxiliary means in advance.

  • Supervise the correct reception, storage and use of materials on site.

  • Control consumption and prevent losses or waste.

Requirements

  • Vocational training in Construction, Building and Civil Works or similar (desirable)

  •  Occupational Risk Prevention courses:

    •  20 hours in construction.

    • Preventive Resource course.

  •  Additional training in team management, planning or site quality (valued).

  • Minimum recommended experience of 5 years on site as a foreman or as a first-class skilled tradesperson with coordination responsibilities.

  • Solid knowledge of construction procedures and reading of drawings and setting-out.

  • Basic handling of digital tools (WhatsApp, email, site apps or reports).

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations: H&S, quality and environment.
