What we're looking for
- A proven track record as a Chef or similar role, in a Luxury Hotel environment or Fine Dining Restaurant, delivering Sensational Experiences synonymous with FIVE's Award-Winning Service Quality.
- A Culinary Degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Outstanding Pre-Opening experience in setting up dynamic, seamless and fast-paced Kitchen Operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Food Preparation, and Presentation and Plating Methods.
- Extensive Knowledge of diverse International Cuisine, expert Culinary Techniques, and contemporary Food Trends.
- Proven ability to Follow Instructions Accurately and Exceed Expectations, even when working under pressure.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills to engage effectively with fellow ‘FIVERs’ and other stakeholders.
- A Meticulous Eye for Detail, and a Passion for ensuring that every aspect of Food Quality and Presentation is perfectly curated, creating a ‘FIVE-Star’ Dining Experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles and practices, and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, Food Hygiene Standards, and Best Practices in Restaurant Operations.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the requirements of the Hotel.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the Preparation and Presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the Highest Culinary Standards.
- Provides critical support to Senior Chefs in the Kitchen, ensuring that Food Production and Service are orchestrated seamlessly, and meet even the most Discerning Guest’s Expectations.
- Takes charge of Mise En Place and Stock Rotation to guarantee the smooth flow of Operations, maintaining an organised and efficient Kitchen Environment.
- Executes Tasks assigned by Senior Chefs promptly and efficiently.
- Actively engages in Menu Development, offering bespoke and innovative ideas for New Dishes that elevate the FIVE dining experience.
- Adheres rigorously to all Food Safety and Hygiene Standards, ensuring the premium quality our guests expect from us.
- Fosters Effective Collaboration with fellow ‘FIVERs,’ ensuring seamless Operations in our vibrant and dynamic Kitchens.
- Contributes to the creation of a Positive and Productive Work Environment that embodies the quintessential ‘Vibe at FIVE.’
