Mission

As Propulsion Director, your main mission within the area will be to ensure the delivery of components to the propulsion integration line. To do so, you will have a team of Production Engineering, Planning, and Production at your disposal. Other complementary functions include planning (load/capacity and scheduling), industrial development, maintenance, and some additional support functions. 

The most immediate challenge will be to organize the area and the systems to move from development to series production. This will involve preparing the teams to increase the number of work shifts, maintaining developed production control, and setting improvement targets for both costs and quality that lead us toward a mature product.    

Responsibilities

  • Delivering the necessary products for the business on time, at cost, and within schedule.
  • Promoting continuous improvement to enhance the process.
  • Reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring.
  • Developing the engineering and production teams to build an integrated team.
  • Developing business plans that support the growth of the activity (machines, services, etc.).
  • Ensuring the safety of all workers.
  • Generating development plans for the different levels within production.
  • Planning for growth to meet the required demand.
  • Coordinating and supporting the different production sections.
  • Integrating the purchasing department to ensure they provide the necessary support.
  • Working with design engineering to ensure future product versions are easier to manufacture.
  • Key indicators: OTD (On-Time Delivery), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Quality, Lead Time, Cost per component, compliance with certifications/audits, and safety.

Required qualifications

  • Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree, or equivalent competencies.
  • + 10 years of proven experience leading manufacturing environments  
  • Experience managing shop floor teams and production-related functions (manufacturing engineering, planning, etc.).
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing high-precision metallic components.
  • Experience with PLM, ERP, and MRP systems.
  • Ability to learn, guide, and collaborate in training the rest of the team, maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Experience working in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to rationalize and break down problems.
  • Full command of MS Office tools.
  • High level of technical English, both spoken and written.
