The role

What you'll do

  • Planning and definition of R&D&i strategies. This includes technical support for the definition and implementation of national defense R&D&i initiatives within the national, European, and international (NATO) financial frameworks.
  • Advisory in international agreement negotiations. This activity encompasses all actions related to the definition, drafting, and negotiation of international agreements related to R&D cooperation (MoUs, LoIs, PAs, TAs, etc.) and the preparation for and participation in international bilateral meetings.
  • Support in activities related to the European Defence Fund and other European Commission Programs (Horizon Europe, ESIF, etc.). Analysis and review of documentation associated with national activities within the scope of the European Defence Fund and other EU research and development programs.
  • Support for Spanish participation in the main international organizations and frameworks related to defense R&D&i. This includes activities related to national representation in the international forums of the EDA (HEDI and CAPTECHs) and NATO (STO and DIANA).
  • Collaboration in the implementation and technical monitoring of national and international programs. This includes the review and study of technical documentation associated with national and international R&D&i programs and the drafting of the corresponding technical monitoring reports.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • University Master's Degree. Minimum required: Meces 3
  • Experience in supporting the coordination of national activities relating to the planning and implementation of national defense R&D initiatives within the European financial framework. Minimum required: 5 years within the last 10 years.
  • Experience in activities related to the definition, drafting, and negotiation of agreements for international cooperation in the defense sector (MoUs, ToRs, LoIs, among others) and the preparation for and participation in bilateral and international meetings. Minimum required: 5 years within the last 10 years.
  • Experience in international working groups related to the monitoring and control of R&D programs in the defense sector. Minimum required: 5 years within the last 10 years.
  • English. Minimum required: C1 or equivalent

Nice to have

  • Demonstrable professional experience in institutional coordination, end-user engagement, and support for collaborative experimentation in validation and testing environments. Desirable: 5 years.
