The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing, modeling, and developing mechanical assemblies, structures, and components for industrial machinery. Using advanced CAD tools and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, they will transform engineering concepts into precise manufacturing drawings, ensuring technical feasibility and optimizing manufacturing and costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3D Design and Modeling: Develop three-dimensional models of machinery, mechanical sub-assemblies, transmission systems, and frames using PTC Creo.
  • Lifecycle Management (PLM): Manage the product structure (BOM/Material Lists), versions, approval statuses, and technical documentation daily within the PTC Windchill environment.
  • Drafting and Drawings: Create detailed 2D construction drawings for manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance, applying geometric and dimensional tolerances (GD&T).
  • Component Selection: Define and select standard commercial components (bearings, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders, linear guides) suitable for each application.
  • Standardization: Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of the company's common component library to optimize design and purchasing processes.
  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with the manufacturing workshop, purchasing team, and automation engineers to resolve assembly issues and optimize Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
