About the role

Are you interested in designing, analyzing, and developing mechanical solutions for high-impact industrial projects? At RDT, we are looking for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER to participate in the design, specification, and monitoring of mechanical systems, working on the development of equipment, piping, supports, machinery, and solutions applied to industrial plants, in both national and international projects.

What you'll do

  • Design, calculate, and develop mechanical systems and equipment for industrial projects.

  • Prepare drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, data sheets, technical specifications, and associated documentation.

  • Size piping, supports, rotating and static equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, tanks, etc.

  • Review and validate technical documentation generated by suppliers or subcontractors.

  • Participate in equipment selection, preparation of material take-offs, and comparative bid analysis.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, process) to ensure overall project consistency.

  • Support commissioning and start-up activities.

  • Ensure the design complies with current regulations, international standards, and specific client requirements.

  • Participate in internal and client meetings, providing technical expertise.

  • Experience in chemical, energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or heavy industrial plants.

  • Knowledge of piping stress analysis (CAESAR II or other tools).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in industrial projects, EPC, large-scale plants, or international projects.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.

  • Solid knowledge of mechanical design, calculation, and applicable regulations

  • Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and technical documentation.

  • Proficiency in technical software: AutoCAD, mechanical calculation tools, piping software, or 3D (Revit, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor are valued).

  • English intermediate to advanced level, required for technical documentation and coordination with international teams.

  • Availability for travel nationally and internationally as required by the project.
