Mission

Ensure the proper functioning of auxiliary and transport equipment, as well as collaborate with healthcare staff in all duties assigned, in order to contribute to the proper functioning of the center in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

Collaborate in patient assistance, reception, and transport, always complying with medical and nursing instructions.

Monitor the patient's condition, maintaining a constant state of alertness regarding any changes in their status.

Respect and maintain an appropriate relationship with patients and families, collaborating in the promotion and maintenance of a professional and responsible environment.

Assist the nursing team in mobilizing patients who require it.

Ensure patient privacy both during mobilization within the hospitalization unit and during transport to other hospital departments.

Transport patients when necessary, not leaving them alone until the designated person takes charge of them.

Identify the patient before transport by asking (whenever the patient's condition allows) for their first name, last name, and date of birth, and cross-check this with the identification wristband.

Properly receive the patient, assessing whether they need help to mobilize and instructing them to provide their details at the admissions service, as well as notifying the nursing staff of their arrival by handing over the admission form.

Provide assistance to nurses and ward assistants with the movement, hygiene, and transport of bedridden patients who require special care due to their conditions.

Transport deceased patients to the morgue following the established procedure.

Ensure the mobilization and transport of patients between departments, clinics, and/or rooms.

Keep the emergency room entrances stocked with wheelchairs and stretchers.

Monitor the emergency room entrances, allowing access only to authorized persons.

Transport documentation to the various laboratories, blood bank, pharmacy, admissions service, etc., and collect the results.
