The role

Are you passionate about doing a job well and looking for stability in a large company?

We are looking for a Cutting and Sectioning Operator. You will be the person in charge of starting the transformation process, sizing and cutting our raw materials with maximum precision and material efficiency. If you are a meticulous, responsible person and enjoy an industrial environment, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do

Interpreting orders and optimizing: Read manufacturing orders, blueprints, and cutting plans to ensure maximum material yield and minimize board waste.

Operating cutting machinery: Feed and operate automatic/semi-automatic panel saws, wall saws, or crosscut saws to size wood panels and their derivatives.

Adjusting and calibrating parameters: Set measurements, angles, feed speeds, and machine stops according to the technical specifications of each batch.

Quality control and dimensional verification: Measure and inspect the first pieces and perform continuous sampling using calipers, tape measures, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper squaring.

Identifying and palletizing material: Label each cut piece with its corresponding reference and stack them on pallets or carts in an orderly manner for the next stage of edging, machining, or assembly.

Basic maintenance and blade changes: Perform cleaning, chip/vacuum removal, and change or check the condition of saw blades to prevent chipping or tearing on materials.
