The role

Your first professional experience starts here.

Are you studying for a degree / double degree or master's and feel like taking the leap into the professional world?

With CaixaBank's University Internship Program, you will be able to join one of the Corporate Services areas in Barcelona for 6 months, put into practice what you have learned, and discover how work is done in one of Spain's leading financial institutions.

From day one you will be part of the team, you will participate in real projects and you will learn alongside professionals from different specialties. Additionally, you will have a tutor who will accompany you throughout the entire experience to help you grow, resolve your doubts and make the most of this stage.

  • Location: Barcelona

What you'll do

There are many possibilities! Depending on your profile and your interests, you will be able to join areas such as:

  • Risks
  • Audit
  • Accounting, Management Control and Capital
  • Corporate & Investment Banking
  • Finance
  • Media
  • Communication
  • Business
  • People
  • General Secretariat
  • Transformation and Advanced Analytics

And this is only part of it!

Whichever team you join, you will be able to participate in real projects, contribute your ideas, and learn from the inside how a large organization works.

During the experience, you will also develop competencies that will accompany you in your professional future, such as teamwork, communication, analytical capacity, and problem-solving.

  • More important than your career is your attitude

We are not looking for a single profile, nor do we expect you to arrive knowing everything. That is what internships are for!

We are looking for students with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn, who want to contribute their point of view, work in a team, and discover new professional fields.

Requirements

To join the program you will need:

  • Having completed at least 120 credits of your degree or double degree, or being currently enrolled in a master's degree.
  • Being able to formalize an internship agreement with your university or study center.
  • Having availability to complete a minimum of 480 internship hours between February 1st and July 31st, 2027.
  • Being able to carry out the internship in person in Barcelona.
  • We will also value your level of English, international experiences, volunteering and any other activity that has contributed to your personal or academic development.
  • At CaixaBank we value talent in all its forms and we want to continue building diverse and inclusive teams. If you hold a disability certificate of 33% or higher, we especially encourage you to participate. You can indicate it when registering in: Profile -> Profile information -> Functional diversity (Yes/No).

Benefits and conditions

Much more than an internship!

  • Paid internships through a university agreement.
  • A 6-month experience, from February to July 2027, with the possibility of an extension from September to December.
  • A minimum working week of 20 hours.
  • An adaptable schedule so that you can balance the internship with your studies and attend your exams.
  • An onboarding program designed for young talent, so that you get to know the organization and start the experience on the right foot.
  • The guidance of a reference tutor from day one.
  • The opportunity to learn alongside professionals from different areas, participate in real projects and expand your network of contacts.
  • The possibility of remaining linked to CaixaBank upon completion of the internship, through other professional opportunities within the entity.

Go for it!

You don't need to arrive knowing everything. The most important thing is that you have the desire to learn, face new challenges, and start building your professional path.

If you believe this program fits you and you are looking for an experience in which you can contribute your ideas, develop your potential and discover how far you can go, we want to meet you!

Register and take the first step. Your professional future can start here!
