What we're looking for
Vibe coding: using AI as a real multiplier in daily tasks—dbt models, reporting scripts, queries—with the judgment to audit what it generates before it reaches a management report.
Advanced SQL and real experience optimizing on a columnar warehouse (preferably BigQuery): partitioning, clustering, and controlling scan costs.
Analytical modeling with dbt: layered design, incrementality strategies, tests, and documentation.
End-to-end autonomy: setting up your own ingestions (Airbyte-type ETL/ELT, direct integrations with REST APIs) without waiting for someone to prepare the data for you.
Cloud on GCP: deploying and maintaining services (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions), managing service accounts, credentials, and scopes.
Python applied to automation and report generation (pandas, openpyxl).
Web and digital marketing analytics: attribution, UTM architectures, tracking, ROI/ROAS calculation—and your own judgment to define those rules, not just to apply them.
Understanding how Google Ads and Meta Ads measure, and why their data never matches the accounting data.
Fluency with Looker / Data Studio as an output layer, including permissions and security filters by role.
Rigor with data quality and honesty regarding the reliability of every number.
Ability to explain where a number comes from to a non-technical profile without losing precision, and patience to do so as many times as necessary.
Intermediate level of English.
Nice to have
And it would be great if you also had...
Experience working with an ERP (especially Odoo).
Google Apps Script and bidirectional synchronization between spreadsheets and the warehouse.
Data access design: table-level or row-level permissions based on role, country, or department.
Having worked with traffic monetization or affiliation data (CPC, CPL, CPA, FTD) and with non-human traffic detection.
Interest in the world of investment and finance.
The role
At Rankia, we believe that good financial health contributes to improving people's physical and mental well-being. Since our beginnings in 2003, we have helped people achieve the best financial health at every stage of their lives: from their first payroll account, through savings, investment, and buying a home, to retirement planning.
What you'll do
Possessing the complete cycle of the group's economic and audience data:
Extracting it from heterogeneous sources: the ERP (Odoo), the product database, advertising platforms, GA4, Search Console, and bridge spreadsheets where the business inputs manual information.
Modeling it in dbt on BigQuery, normalizing business logics that are currently inconsistent across departments, countries, and websites.
Translating it: converting analytical accounting into business language (department, area, country, partner, channel) so that company management can read it.
Automating it: services in Cloud Run / Cloud Functions and scripts that generate recurring reports without manual intervention.
Governing it: deciding who sees what, with permissions and filters by role, country, and segment.
Documenting it as traceable artifacts, so that knowledge does not live in only one head.
All under one non-negotiable rule: nothing is delivered if it does not match the official source to the digit, and reports are complete but honest about their reliability.
How you'll work
The day-to-day of this role centers on end-to-end analytical engineering: designing and evolving the data architecture for financial data to power key reports, performing data modeling and governance with dbt, and managing the full lifecycle of dashboards. It also involves critical forensic auditing work to resolve data discrepancies, acting in a strategic liaison role with management to propose process improvements and automations that transform information into reliable business decisions.
In your day-to-day, you will support business teams regarding the measurement and visualization of data vital to them. Here, you will have to demonstrate that you know the entire extraction and cleaning process for every piece of data.
Hiring process
In addition to the technical interview, the process includes a short practical case on a real problem (a reconciliation that doesn't reconcile) so you can see what the work is like before deciding, and so we can see how you reason when the data doesn't fit.
We hope to count on you to be part of the Rankia team!
