What we're looking for

We are looking for professionals with previous, specific experience in aeronautical or aerospace design. It is essential to have worked on the design and/or definition of aircraft components, such as fuselage, wings, cockpit, structures, brackets or aeronautical components.

The selected candidate will work from existing 3D models to produce high-level 2D technical documentation, in compliance with aeronautical regulations and quality standards.

Requirements and knowledge

Essential experience in aeronautical or aerospace design, especially in the design of structures, fuselage, wings, cockpit, brackets or aeronautical components.
Siemens NX: Advanced command of NX Modeling and NX Drafting.
PLM/CM: Experience with PLM systems, with Teamcenter highly valued.
Standards: Solid knowledge of GD&T and aeronautical drawing standards.
Skills: Attention to detail, spatial awareness and a focus on quality and manufacturability (DFM).
English: Advanced level.

Nice to have

Technical experience: Experience in aeronautical metallic structures, machining and sheet metal forming is a plus.

The role

Would you like to take part in one of the most cutting-edge and advanced projects within the international aeronautical sector?

At RDT Ingenieros we are looking to bring on board several 2D Mechanical Designers or Draftspersons specialized in Siemens NX to take part in the development of aeronautical manufacturing drawings, within projects involving structures, fuselage, wings, cockpit and aircraft components.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

3D modeling and preparation: Managing models in Siemens NX, version control, history cleanup and alignment with aircraft coordinate systems (FS, BL, WL).
Detail design (Drafting): Creating 2D drawings in NX Drafting, including complex drawings, sections, details of critical areas and management of scaled views.
Technical definition (GD&T): Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5 / ISO 1101), defining functional datums and precision fits.
Aeronautical design: Taking part in the definition and documentation of fuselage, wings, cockpit, structures, brackets and other aeronautical components.
Specialization in fuselage: Generating sheet metal flat patterns (flat patterns), bend tables, calculating pitch for rivets and specifying fasteners (NAS/MS).
Documentation and PLM: Preparing BOMs, drill tables, surface treatment specifications and managing the lifecycle in PLM (ECN/ECR).
Quality checks: Reviewing drawing rules, checking over/under-dimensioning and closing out chains. Verifying that all dimensions come from the model.
Deliverables generation: Preparing and reviewing the technical documentation required for manufacturing.

How you'll work

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦: Zamudio (Vizcaya), but if you are unable to work on-site, you can do it 100% remotely.

The position allows you to work 100% remotely from anywhere in Spain.
