Requirements

What we're looking for

University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar.
Experience in the utilities sector, especially in transmission lines.
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, including knowledge of Method 4 and the finite element (FE) module.
Intermediate level in PLS-POLE and TOWER.
Solid knowledge and application of NESC standards.
Upper-intermediate level of English (projects for U.S. utilities with weekly meetings).

What you'll do

Design and optimization of transmission and distribution lines using the modeling software PLS-CADD (including PLS-POLE and TOWER).
Preparation of complete engineering packages:
- Line routing.
- Structure analysis and load trees.
- Development of design criteria.
- Mechanical and electrical calculations.
- Damping system recommendations, among others.
Collaboration with the different departments for proper project management and compliance with deadlines.
Performance of conductor ampacity studies.
Compliance with U.S. sector standards and regulations (NESC, client standards, etc.).

T&D LINES ENGINEER (TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION)
