Senior Electrical Engineer

At RDT we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an international project within the Oil & Gas sector.

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Department and to be based in Madrid.

• Administer the package of the Wood electrical engineering group

• Ensure that all EPC Electrical Engineers under his / her supervision work to the project procedures, specifications and standards, good engineering practices and techniques, and any project-specific requirements

• Supervise the day to day engineering interfaces between EPC core engineering group, Project Managers and the engineering teams assigned to the EPC package – includes interaction with all other specialist disciplines as required

• Participate in design reviews and engineering changes with the customer as necessitated by design development and ensure the core team is made aware of these

• Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required

• Participate in project reviews, value engineering, and value improvement workshops with the customer

• Input engineering procedures and work practices in conjunction with the Core Electrical Lead as appropriate

Development and review of electrical engineering in industrial projects.

Execution of electrical studies using ETAP.

Coordination with other technical disciplines.

Preparation and review of technical documentation.

Technical support during the different phases of the project.

· Degree in a relevant discipline

· Minimum of 10 years' experience in major oil refinery / petrochemical projects in the capacity of Senior Electrical Engineer with an EPC organization

· Fully familiar with international codes, standards, and recommended practices to be adopted during the EPC phases of oil / gas projects

· Must have the capacity to develop detailed design deliverables

· Must have proven ability to contribute during the development of electrical system studies

· Fluent English

Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.

Demonstrable experience in Oil & Gas sector projects.

Proficiency in ETAP software.

High level of English (oral and written).

Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international environments.
