Mechanical Project Engineer

• Safety culture: It is a fundamental pillar. You must have basic safety training (80-hour course) to be qualified as a construction manager, work permit issuer, and lockout coordinator. We are looking for someone with zero tolerance for risk, focused on preventing and anticipating any deviation.

  • Strong analytical skills to mitigate risks at every stage of the project.

  • Autonomy and good judgment to know which decisions to make on site and which ones to consult with the PM.

  • Communication and negotiation skills with the plant.

  • Composure and resolve to work under pressure, especially during industrial shutdowns or schedule delays.

  • Rigor and clarity in writing technical documentation.

• Experience: We highly value more than 5 years as a Project Manager in industrial environments (if you don't have this but meet the rest of the requirements, we also want to meet you).

• Professional English: Fluent enough to hold meetings, analyze technical documentation, and coordinate with international colleagues or suppliers.

We are looking to bring on a professional with experience in integral project management, construction monitoring, and contractor coordination- in Avilés - to lead the execution of works and drive them from their preparation phase to the site.

The main objective of the role is the development of projects during their implementation phase, managing construction execution with on-site presence for monitoring and supervision, as well as in safety matters, participating in pre-work safety visits, reviewing PSS (Safety and Health Plans), issuing work permits, coordinating work, managing lockouts, etc. Additionally, you will participate in projects during the preparation phase, supporting the PM in the AM for developing technical specifications, aligning technical bids, visiting sites, conducting site inspections to define technical solutions and scopes
