At RDT, we are opening a new recruitment process for a Mechanical Assembly Supervisor to join an industrial project in its final execution phase.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the correct completion of mechanical assembly work, guaranteeing that quality, safety, planning, and productivity standards are met.
Main duties
Technical supervision of mechanical assemblies during the final phase of the project.
Control of assembly progress and closure of pending activities.
Coordination and management of internal teams and subcontractors.
Verification of compliance with drawings, procedures, and technical specifications.
Quality control in final adjustments and commissioning of equipment.
Supervision of compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Rapid resolution of incidents during assembly closure.
Preparation of progress reports and coordination with project management.
Possible coverage of special shifts depending on project needs.
Location: Gijón
Sector: Steel industry and steel production
Duration: Since the project is in its final phase, the estimated duration is 4 to 6 months. As an additional option, covering the night shift may be required in some cases.
Education
Higher-level vocational training (FP Superior) in Industrial Mechanics, Maintenance, or similar.
Mechanical Engineering or related field (valued).
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising industrial mechanical assemblies.
Experience coordinating subcontractors.
Experience in large-scale industrial projects and closure phases (valuable).
Technical knowledge
Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
Assembly and alignment of industrial equipment (rotating equipment, conveyors, structures).
Dimensional control and mechanical adjustments.
Industrial safety and environmental regulations.
Skills
Leadership and team management.
Ability to quickly resolve problems in the field.
Organization, results orientation, and deadline compliance.
Effective communication with all project departments.
