The role

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company with one goal: connect everything, everywhere. Founded in 2018, we've built the first satellite constellation that lets standard commercial devices communicate directly from space. Our technology bridges the gaps that terrestrial networks will never reach, bringing affordable and secure connectivity to industries, governments, and communities across the planet.

This is a hybrid role between project control and Finance. You'll be responsible for the economic control of Sateliot's funded projects: cost tracking, grant justification documentation, and data entry and validation in the official platforms used by financial institutions. You'll also support the Finance department in its day-to-day work: budget tracking, supplier invoices, monthly close, and financial reporting.

It's a key position for keeping our projects' economic and administrative documentation organized, traceable, and compliant with each grant's requirements, and for helping Finance run with clear processes and reliable numbers.

What you'll do

  • Track project finances and control associated costs (payroll, payroll payments, 190 Model, timesheets).

  • Manage and follow up on the invoicing associated with projects.

  • Prepare, review, and organize the economic documentation required for grant justifications, following the format and structure each funding body requires.

  • Review and use official platforms: upload and validate economic data for different projects.

  • Track timesheets, staff dedication, and personnel cost allocations linked to funded projects.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and respond to information requests.

  • Coordinate with clients, auditors, accounting firms, funding entities, and other external parties as needed.

  • Provide occasional support to the patents team on administrative management: tracking deadlines and related procedures.

  • Help with monthly budget tracking by cost center and analysis of deviations.

  • Support supplier invoice management: analytical classification by cost center and project, and resolution of incidents with internal departments and suppliers.

  • Support the accounting process and monthly close (accruals, reconciliations, documentation), in coordination with the external accounting firm.

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and forecast exercises.

  • Take part in designing and maintaining dashboards and financial reporting.

  • Create, document, and maintain department processes, with a focus on improving and automating them.

  • Support economic analyses and other Finance activities as the business needs.
