Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in mobile telecommunications, roaming, network integration, telecom service operations or similar roles.

  • Good understanding of mobile network architecture and packet data services.

  • Experience coordinating technical integrations involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to translate technical issues into clear actions, owners and priorities; professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with IoT connectivity, NB-IoT or LTE-M; practical knowledge of international roaming concepts and processes; experience working with MNOs, MVNOs, roaming hubs, IPX providers, clearing houses; understanding of roaming interfaces and processes such as IREG, TADIG, TAP and DCH; familiarity with packet data concepts such as APNs, IMSIs, GTP sessions and IP connectivity.

  • Experience with satellite or Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN); knowledge of GSMA roaming standards and processes; knowledge of charging and billing architectures in mobile networks; experience validating TAP files or other roaming billing records; familiarity with 3GPP network architectures and signalling; experience managing technical projects or partner integrations.

The role

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company with one goal: connect everything, everywhere. Founded in 2018, we've built the first satellite constellation that lets standard commercial devices communicate directly from space. Our technology bridges the gaps that terrestrial networks will never reach, bringing affordable and secure connectivity to industries, governments, and communities across the planet.

We are looking for a Technical Roaming & Billing Integration Engineer to own and coordinate the technical integration of Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) into our satellite IoT connectivity service.

This role sits at the intersection of mobile network integration, roaming, service operations and billing, acting as the technical point of contact throughout the MNO onboarding lifecycle: from initial technical alignment and connectivity setup to roaming validation, service launch, billing testing and ongoing operational support.

The ideal candidate combines a solid understanding of mobile telecom networks and roaming with technical project management and stakeholder coordination skills. This is not a purely hands-on Core Network engineering position: the role requires someone capable of driving integrations end-to-end, coordinating multiple technical teams and partners, identifying dependencies and ensuring that integrations progress towards commercial readiness.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end technical integration of MNO partners, from initial assessment to commercial readiness; act as the main technical interface with MNOs and coordinate internal teams, IPX providers and other external partners; and drive technical troubleshooting to ensure blockers are resolved throughout the integration lifecycle.

  • Coordinate IREG and TADIG exchanges, roaming testing and end-to-end service validation.

  • Own the technical coordination and validation of end-to-end billing with MNO partners; coordinate billing test scenarios covering usage generation, TAP/DCH exchange and reconciliation; work with MNOs, clearing houses and internal teams to identify and resolve billing discrepancies; and ensure billing is successfully validated before commercial activation and transition to production.

  • Ensure network, roaming and billing requirements are completed before commercial launch with an MNO, and coordinate the handover of new MNO integrations into regular service operations.

  • Monitor integration and service KPIs and drive improvements where needed; standardize and continuously improve the MNO onboarding and integration lifecycle, making it more efficient and scalable.

Additional requirements

We are looking for someone who can combine technical telecom knowledge with ownership and execution.
The successful candidate should be comfortable discussing network configurations with engineers, billing flows with roaming teams and integration milestones with project stakeholders.
They should be able to take an MNO integration, understand what needs to happen technically, identify the teams and partners involved, build a clear plan, follow up on dependencies and drive the integration until the service; including billing, is fully validated and ready for commercial operation.
