What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
A minimum of five years' experience teaching IB Diploma Programme Biology, preferably in an online environment.
Strong proficiency in online teaching tools and digital learning platforms.
Fluency in English (C1 level or above).
Experience using digital tools and platforms such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, Kognity, and AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini to enhance teaching and learning.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

100% online position.
Flexible location, provided the candidate is within a time zone no more than 3-4 hours from Central European Time (CET).
Working days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Working hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CET.
Annual gross salary: €15,000.

The role

SEK Global Campus is looking for a qualified IB Diploma Programme (DP) Biology Teacher for a maternity cover position starting on 22 February.

Promote student learning through thoughtfully planned, delivered, and assessed lessons that support their academic, physical, socio-emotional, and ethical development. Create an inclusive online learning environment that fosters respect for and understanding of diverse cultures, empowering students to thrive as globally minded individuals prepared to contribute meaningfully to an interconnected world.

What you'll do

Teach Biology within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, following the IB curriculum and subject guide.
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that support students' academic progress and achievement.
Supervise and guide students through their Internal Assessment (IA) projects, providing feedback in accordance with IB requirements.
Prepare students for the May 2027 IB examinations, ensuring they develop the subject knowledge and skills required for success.
Use digital tools and online teaching strategies to promote active learning, student engagement, and academic achievement.
