Requirements

What we're looking for

University degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.
At least two years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
Experience in the design and implementation of ETL and ELT pipelines.
Advanced SQL proficiency and manipulation of large volumes of data.
Knowledge of data-oriented programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
Experience with orchestration tools and data flows such as Airflow, NiFi, or Prefect.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
Understanding of data formats such as JSON, Parquet, Avro, or CSV.
Experience in data quality control and automated validations.
English level B2-C1.
Compliance with the necessary requirements to obtain HPS (Security Clearance).

Nice to have

Experience in Big Data environments with technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
Knowledge of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
Experience in cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Knowledge of data streaming with tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes.
Basic knowledge of data governance and metadata.

The role

We need to recruit a Data Engineer with at least two years of experience to participate in a Cyberdefense project, with a workplace in Barcelona and a modality featuring 60% remote work.

The selected person will design and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and implement information ingestion, transformation, and loading processes. They will guarantee data quality, consistency, and traceability and will monitor performance to optimize processing times.

Likewise, they will collaborate with data architects and Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence teams, document data flows and their technical dependencies, and participate in the automation and CI/CD deployments of pipelines.
